It Starts With the Shirt

Most people shopping for custom t-shirts think about the design first. We think about the shirt first, because the blank decides how the tee feels, how it fits and how sharp the print looks.

For more than 15 years our go-to t-shirt has been the Next Level 3600, a 100% cotton tee. It fits the way people expect a modern tee to fit, the fabric is soft and smooth, and that smooth surface is what lets fine lines and small text print clean. When a customer asks “which shirt should I get?”, this is usually where we start.

It isn’t the only option. A garment-dyed heavyweight like the Comfort Colors 1717 gives a thicker, relaxed, vintage feel that works well for retail and brand merch. We carry a wide selection of blanks, and you can see and feel samples at the showroom. We don’t print on customer-supplied shirts, which is how we keep quality and timing under our control.

RECENT JOB

Two Blanks, One Look

Reed’s ordered two tees designed as a matching set with the brand colors flipped. Each design ran on the blank that suited it best.

Design 1: Cream Comfort Colors 1717

A dark green and orange print on a cream garment-dyed heavyweight tee. 134 pieces.

Design 2: Forest Green Next Level 3600

Cream ink on a forest green 100% cotton tee. 36 pieces.

Two different shirts, chosen for what each one needed to do, and one consistent brand look.

Screen Printing or Heat Transfers?

We print t-shirts two ways in-house, and we’ll recommend the one that fits your order:

Screen Printing

The workhorse for t-shirt orders of 24 or more. Ink is pushed through a screen and cured into the fabric, so colors come out bold and the print holds up wash after wash. We match Pantone colors and offer puff, metallic, glitter, fluorescent and high-density inks. Learn more about our screen printing.

Full-Color Heat Transfers

Best for artwork with lots of colors or photo-style detail, where a screen for every color wouldn’t make sense.

Not sure which one your design needs? Send it over. We’ll look at the artwork, the number of colors and your quantity, and tell you what we’d do.

What People Put on Custom Tees

A t-shirt is the most flexible thing we print. These are the orders we see most.

Company & Staff Shirts

Shirts crews and front-of-house teams wear every day, built to survive a lot of washing.

Event Shirts

Conventions, fundraisers, runs, reunions and church events, where everyone needs a shirt by a specific date.

Clothing Brands & Merch

Drops where the blank, the print feel and details like matching sets matter as much as the logo.

Teams, Clubs & Schools

One design across a wide range of sizes. Mixing sizes inside one design means 24 pieces can cover a whole team.

Giveaway Tees

Promotions and trade shows, often ordered alongside other promotional products.

Placement and Print Size

Where a print sits changes how a shirt reads. A left-chest logo looks professional on a work shirt. A full front print says event or brand. A back print with a small front logo is a classic for staff and crew shirts. Sleeve and neck prints add a finished, retail look.

Your digital proof shows exactly where each print goes and how big it is, with the Pantone ink codes, so there are no surprises. Production starts only after you approve the proof and pay, and once an order is in production it can’t be changed, so the proof is the moment to get everything right. We’ll help you get it right.

T-Shirt Printing FAQs

Answers to the questions we hear most about custom tees.

Have another question? Call (702) 685-6270 or send us a message.

What’s the minimum for custom t-shirts?

24 pieces per design for screen printing. You can mix sizes, colors and shirt styles in that order as long as the artwork, print size and ink colors are the same.

Which t-shirt do you recommend?

Our go-to for over 15 years is the Next Level 3600: soft, smooth, true to fit and great for sharp prints. For a heavier, vintage feel, a garment-dyed tee like the Comfort Colors 1717 is a popular choice. Come feel both at the showroom.

Will the print crack or fade after washing?

Not when it’s done right. We’re precise at every step, and correctly curing the ink is what gives a bold print that holds up wash after wash.

Can I bring my own shirts?

No. We don’t print on customer-supplied garments. We carry a wide selection of blanks, so we can control quality and timing.

How fast can I get my shirts?

Standard turnaround is 2 weeks from proof approval and payment. Rush may be available for a fee, so ask before you order if you have a hard date.

Do you design the shirt for me?

We don’t do full custom design, but basic layouts and artwork cleanup are free, and you’ll get a digital proof before anything is printed.
